By train
Cambridge railway station is linked to many major cities in the UK via London (55 minutes) or Peterborough (50 minutes). The Institute is approximately a 30-minute walk from the train station, a 10 minute taxi ride, or you can catch the Citi buses 1 or 7 to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
By bus or coach
We recommend that you take the bus or a taxi from the Central Cambridge bus station (Drummer Street). Some of the airport buses stop on Parkside, which is around the corner. From the bus station, take Citi 1 or Citi 7 to Addenbrooke’s. The taxi ranks are also nearby.
By air
Cambridge is well served by public transport links from major UK airports. The nearest airport to Cambridge is London Stansted, followed by London Heathrow and then London Gatwick. From London Stansted, there is an hourly direct train service to Cambridge which takes approximately 40 minutes. From Heathrow Airport there is an hourly bus to Cambridge which leaves from stops at both Heathrow Central Bus Station and Terminal 5 and takes approximately 2 hours. By car
There are a number of Park&Ride sites surrounding Cambridge, information for which can be found on their website. However, if you need to drive there is limited parking available, please contact us for more information.
