Group Leaders
Our Group Leaders work at the frontiers of cancer discovery science, each shaping and influencing our research strategy.
Each Group Leader is supported by generous core funding alongside their individual research grants, enabling our scientists to engage in long-term strategic research programmes outside of the short-term funding structure of academia.
Junior Group Leader Package
With core funding from the Institute, each group leader is provided with a flexible funding package, with budget for staffing, consumables and use of our core facilities. This package could fund:
- 2 postdoctoral researchers and a technician
- 2 PhD students
- access to the technology and expertise in our 11 state-of-the-art core facilities
- a research administrator for support with administrative tasks
- support from our professionalised operations teams
- a dedicated mentor from our Scientific Advisory Board
Group Leader positions are awarded for 5 years in the first instance, followed by a review to progress to a Senior Group Leader.
Junior Group Leader Vacancy (AI for Cancer Research)
