Research Assistant

Research Group Home Page:

I work as a research assistant at the Hannon Lab, where I'm part of theĀ  Wellcome leap delta tissue program. This program focuses on predicting how the treatment affects tissue changes in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). The goal is to analyse samples of breast tissue taken from women with triple negative breast cancer both before and after treatment. We're using various techniques, such as spatial transcriptomics and spatial proteomics, to examine these changes. My specific tasks include sequencing DNA from individual cell nuclei and investigating the spatial arrangement of tissue through methods like Imaging Mass Cytometry and other related approaches within the project. Ultimately, the aim is to comprehend the distinct tissue conditions in individuals who respond positively to treatment compared to those who don't. This understanding will help us develop a model capable of predicting the final state of tissue based on its initial condition.
