I studied Molecular Biotechnology at Heidelberg University between 2015-2021 focusing on drug research, biophysical chemistry and bioinformatics. During my Master’s degree my interest shifted to cancer research with significant translational potential, primarily working together with Prof Magnus von Knebel Doeberitz and Dr Matthias Kloor on Lynch syndrome - associated colorectal cancer. Funded with a scholarship from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation, I also studied at Tsinghua University’s School of Life Science in Beijing from 2019-2020. Before coming to Cambridge, I conducted my Master Thesis Research on long non-coding RNA, nanoparticles and macrophages under the supervision of Prof Carl Novina at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

Apart from lab work, I enjoy organising events at my college. However, you will also regularly find me at the swimming pool, in the Kung Fu gym or in the kitchen making huge meal preparations that do not remain more than a day!
