I completed my PhD in Molecular Immunology under the supervision of Prof Rose Zamoyska at the National Institute for Medical Research investigating the role of the CD8β polypeptide in T cell differentiation and function. I spent 6 years working as Lab manager and Postdoctoral researcher at the Babraham Institute with Dr Denis Alexander studying the role of CD45 isoforms in T cells, before moving to the University of Cambridge Biomedical Campus in 2007 to work with Prof Hill Gaston and Dr Jane Goodall in the Rheumatology group within Addenbrookes Hospital. I moved to look after Prof Ken Smith’s group as Lab manager in 2014 at CIMR, before coming to the CRUK Cambridge Institute in Jan 2016 to help set up the de la Roche lab. Since then I have been looking after the group as Laboratory Manager and running a research project investigating the role of the transcription factor Gli1 in thymic differentiation.

I have two teenagers, two cats and two allotments that occupy all my spare time!
