Research Student

Research Group Home Page:

Following my initial studies in the field of Exercise Sciences, I completed my MSc in Neuroscience at King’s College London investigating ER-mitochondria interactions in astrocytes and microglia at Prof Chris Miller’s laboratory. Then, I spent working as a research technician in the laboratory of Prof Christopher Bunce & Dr Farhat Khanim at the University of Birmingham with the aim of repurposing drugs for the treatment of blood cancers. I moved to the CRUK Cambridge Institute to work as a research assistant at Prof Jason Carroll’s spinoff company, Azeria Therapeutics, to contribute to target validation in the area of drug discovery in ER+ve breast cancers. I joined the de la Roche lab afterwards for an initial 6 months as a research assistant before commencing my PhD studies on a Cancer Research UK scholarship to investigate the role of Hedgehog signalling in γδ T cells.

I enjoy anything that has to do with exercise – football, boxing, weight training. Also, great books in an endless amount.
