Postgraduate Student

Research Group Home Page:

I'm a 2nd year PhD student @ Steve Jackson Lab, and my study is fully funded by A*STAR National Science Scholarship. Prior to this, I graduated from Imperial College London with a BSc degree in Biotechnology, followed by a one-year stint at the Genome Institute of Singapore as a research officer, where I developed a strong interest in CRISPR genome editing tools (in particular base editing) in Wei Leong Chew's lab.

My current research work seeks to improve mechanistic understanding of how DNA damage repair factors facilitate the repair process of topoisomerase-DNA protein crosslinks (TOP-DPCs) via genome-wide CRISPR screens and base editing mutagenesis screens.

Technical expertise: Molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics, pooled CRISPR screens
Research interests: Genome editing, DNA damage responses, base editing, genomics, therapeutics
