Join us at the world-leading CRUK Cambridge Institute. We’re a unique department of the University of Cambridge, core funded by Cancer Research UK’s charitable activities, and we’re eagerly searching for our new Research Administrators (part-time, 20 hpw)

If you are our successful candidate, you will benefit from the support of an experienced administration team who will be fully invested in your success and professional development. You will also be able to participate in the institute’s flexible hybrid-working approach.

As a Research Administrator you will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to individuals such as our internationally regarded Research Group Leaders, their laboratories’ members, or our world-leading Core Facilities. The role includes, but is not limited to, diary management, travel arrangements, conference organisation, financial processing and recruitment administration.

You will have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of a variety of efficient office systems. You will be a highly organised, pro-active individual with a positive, professional manner and a keen eye for detail. You will demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to deal tactfully and confidently with people at all levels. You will demonstrate the ability to work both individually with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Previous experience of working in an academic or scientific environment would be highly advantageous.
