The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute is a department of Cambridge University. It has the specific goal to harness the scientific strengths of Cambridge to solve problems encountered with the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of cancer.

The IT & Scientific Computing team aims to provide world-class scientific computing facilities to the Institute’s researchers. This includes personal computing equipment, communication devices, high performance networking, database and information systems, high performance computing equipment and high volume data storage systems in a controlled operational environment.

We are looking for an individual to work in a customer-facing role with specific skills in Apple and Microsoft Windows client and server environments. Spending half your time on our helpdesk you will also be encouraged to widen your skills to cover the full range of technologies in use at the Institute. Experience of working in a customer focused environment and supporting systems to support scientific research are highly desirable.

This is a full time, permanent role. The preferred hours for the role are 8:00 ¿ 16:00.
