Richard’s background is software development, which prior to joining the CRUK CI was in the fields of mobile phones and life sciences. He joined the CRUK CI in 2010 after completing his Masters in Computational Biology.

Richard is part of the infrastructure team within the Bioinformatics Core, and has developed the core’s work flow system, the Java client for Clarity LIMS, several internal processing pipelines and numerous tools for working with sequencing data. He is heavily involved in supporting the Clarity LIMS system used by the Genomics Core and has written many of the supporting scripts for that system.
