Elisa obtained her BSc from the University of Aix-Marseille in 2017 and her MSc in Cancer Biology from the University of Montpellier in 2019.

She completed her PhD in the Winton lab in November 2023 and was appointed as Research Associate to follow up on her PhD work.

As part of a CRUK Grand Challenge team, Elisa is eager to understand how chronic inflammation in the gut leads to cancer. Her work focuses on early neoplastic events in colitis, focusing on stromal alterations and their effect on stem cell dynamics.
