Research Group Home Page:

Sofie obtained both her BSc (2012) and MSc (2014) degree in Molecular Biomedicine from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark). She first joined Winton lab as a research assistant, then in October 2015 she started herĀ  CRUK funded PhD.

Sofie is very excited to understand how the age-accumulated mutational field effect affects stem cell behaviour and how that could lead to cancer initiation. Therefore, her PhD project is mainly focused on studying stem cell dynamics in mutational precancerous lesions of the mouse intestine and on developing new ways to model early cancer in mice.
