Shiny is an add-on for the R programming language that allows those without any previous programming or R experience to execute R code.

In the Bioinformatics Core, we have developed Shiny apps to accompany our statistics training. Course participants can explore the key concepts and observe the effect of choosing different parameters You can also upload and analyse your own data and view the R code that would be required to repeat the selected calculations, or to share with others.

Currently, we have apps to demonstrate the following concepts and/or perform the following statistical tests:

• Central Limit Theorem
• One sample test
• Two sample test
• Contingency tables
