You can also take the Citi 1 bus towards Addenbrooke's/Cherry Hinton/Fulbourn, the Citi 7 bus towards Sawston/Duxford/Saffron Walden, or the Citi 8 bus to Addenbrooke's. There are signs on the roundabout outside the station directing you to the bus stops, all these buses stop at the Addenbrooke's bus station. For more information, including maps, see Stagecoach Cambridgeshire. A map of the Addenbrooke's site is available to the right, or on the CUH website

From the bus/coach station

We recommend that you take the bus or a taxi from the Central Cambridge bus station (Drummer Street). Some of the airport buses stop on Parkside, which is around the corner. From the bus station, take Citi 1 towards Addenbrooke's/Cherry Hinton/Fulbourn, Citi 7 towards Sawston/Duxford/Saffron Walden, or Citi 8 to Addenbrooke's. The taxi ranks are also nearby.

If you want to cycle while you are in Cambridge, you can hire bikes from Station Cycles, City Cycle hire, or Cambridge Cycle hire. You can also pick up a list of bike hire shops from the central tourist information office, or see the council's website for a list of Cambridge cycle shops.

By car

Cambridge is a small town with a Medieval centre, driving around it can be difficult and congestion is a big problem, particularly during rush hour. If possible, we recommend that you take public transport to the Institute. However if you need to drive there is limited parking available, please contact the person who is arranging your visit for further details.
